New Museum for Abstract Art

With the Museum Reinhard Ernst (mre), the international art scene has gained a new world-class museum with a focus on abstract art. Some of the masterpieces shown here from the period after 1945 to the present are being presented to the public for the first time.

The first presentation of the collection will show a selection of 60 positions, including paintings and sculptures by Tony Cragg, Helen Frankenthaler, Karl Otto Götz, Hans Hartung, Yūichi Inoue, Lee Krasner, Morris Louis, Tal R, Judit Reigl, Pierre Soulages, Tōkō Shinoda, Frank Stella, Atsuko Tanaka and Wolfgang Tillmans.
